Andreas Staier (born September 13, 1955 in Gцttingen) is a German pianist and harpsichordist. Staier studied piano and harpsichord in the Hochschule fьr Musik in Hanover, with Kurt Bauer and Erika Haase for piano and from Lajos Rovatkay for harpsichord, and also in Amsterdam. From 1983 until 1986 he was the harpsichord soloist for the ensemble Musica Antiqua Kцln. As of 1986 he has been an itinerant fortepiano soloist, an accompanist for lieder and piano soloist for the ensemble Les Adieux. Between 1987 and 1996 he was Dozent for Cembalo at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.

A great part of the PC version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the possiblity to modify it: Rockstar claims to have left important game data files unlocked and in text files as opposed to hard-coding them in the game. Although Rockstar lists "player modifications support" as a feature, it's safe to assume that Rockstar will not be providing any game editors with the game, and we can expect to be able to import additional player skins, probably in the form of clothes.

Propaganda were a D?sseldorf band, and with hindsight you can see them as the halfway point between the city’s most famous sons Kraftwerk and the common European language of Techno-Pop that flourished in Ralf and Florian’s wake. But Propaganda were pipe-banging confrontationalists before they became a waking Pop dream. Ralf D”rper, a bank employee, music writer and member of D?sseldorf Industrial-Electronic band Die Krupps, founded Propaganda with vocalist Claudia Brucken, part-time DJ Andreas Thein and jeweler/goldsmith Susanne Freytag. None was a musician in the conventional sense but they made a demo version of ‘Discipline’ by Throbbing Gristle which found its way to NME writer Paul Morley, then in the process of setting up ZTT with Trevor Horn and Jill Sinclair. The rest is history.

The Italian Harpsichord library contains a historical harpsichord built in 1579 by Pierluigi in Livorno. Sharing its tonal qualities for almost half a millenium, it is a classic example of how Italian harpsichords were built for about 200 years. Compared to its Dutch and English siblings, the Pierluigi harpsichord stands out due to its light and simple design (one 8' register) and mostly because of its fundamental, sonorous warm and deep tone.
This unique instrument in the collection of Andreas Beurmann still remains in excellent playable condition despite its age. It is now available for the first time for your sampler within the Italian Harpsichord library, presented in its original meantone tuning at 383 Hz (Presets in 440 Hz are included as well).
